Granddaughter of Sir Winston Churchill
In September I visited the Nobel Museum in Stockholm where I made a speech and was entertained to a wonderful dinner which was a recreation of the banquet held when my grandmother received the award on my grandfather’s behalf.
In May we had a very successful and enjoyable Churchill Centre Conference based at Blenheim and in June the opening of the Churchill Memorial Garden at Blenheim and the unveiling of the beautiful stained glass window in the church at Bladon.
My next trip was to Ottawa for the anniversary of my grandfather’s birthday on the 30th of November.
My host , Ron Cohen, had laid on a great programme including a meeting with the Speaker in his office in front of the original Karsh photograph in the spot where it was taken.

A new exhibition at the Morgan Library & Museum called “Churchill: The Power of Words,” which showcased his long, celebrated career as a statesman, writer, and orator, has opened.
The exhibition at the Morgan kicked off with a lecture by Churchill’s granddaughter, The Hon. Celia Sandys, who has written extensively about him.
