Tours

Celia, who accompanied her grandfather Winston Churchill on some of his later travels, is organizing and leading a number of tours each year retracing Churchill’s footsteps around the world. This is an exceptional opportunity for anyone who loves to travel and is interested in the life of Winston Churchill to indulge both passions at the same time.

ChristinaO 1smallPrevious tours have included visits to Morocco and South Africa and a Mediterranean cruise on board the Christina O, the world-famous super luxury yacht formerly owned by Aristotle Onassis.

Dear Friends,

Many thanks to those of you who wrote asking when I would next be Chasing Churchill and telling me where you would like to go. It was so helpful to hear your travel preferences and suggestions, and I have planned this year’s tours to reflect these.

From 12-19 May, in association with The Churchill Centre, I will be leading a tour of Morocco starting in Marrakech, the colourful and exotic city where Africa, Arabia and Europe meet. After driving through the Atlas Mountains to the gorges where he painted, we will spend a night under the stars in the Sahara Desert..

In October, I will be Chasing Churchill in Egypt, taking in Cairo, Luxor, Abu Simbel, Aswan, the Pyramids and a three day Nile cruise.

Both tours are described in more detail in the itineraries you can download below. If you would like to know more, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with me through my website.

Celia - HelloLooking forward to Chasing Churchill with you.

Best wishes,

Celia

Celia was great: she kept us all interested, amused
    and very, very happy.
